Mardi Farm House Rules

Welcome to Mardi Farm!

We want all our guests to enjoy a pleasant, peaceful and safe stay. When using the accommodation, grounds and additional services, please follow these house rules and treat Mardi Farm’s buildings, nature, furnishings and other guests with care and respect.

The person who made the booking is responsible for ensuring that all guests included in the booking are familiar with and follow these house rules.

1. Arrival and departure

The accommodation is available to guests:

  • from 3:00 p.m. on the day of arrival;
  • until 12:00 noon on the day of departure.

Earlier arrival or later departure is possible only by prior agreement.

Upon arrival, please check the condition of the accommodation and report any defects as soon as possible. Before departure, please close all windows and doors, switch off electrical appliances and return the keys as agreed.

2. Use of the accommodation

Only guests listed in the booking may use the accommodation. Additional guests, visitors or overnight guests are permitted only with the prior approval of Mardi Farm.

The number of overnight guests may not exceed the maximum capacity of the respective accommodation unit.

Furniture, beds and other furnishings may not be moved from one room or building to another without prior agreement.

Commercial activities, photo shoots, filming, events or hosting larger groups are permitted only by prior agreement.

3. Quiet hours and consideration for others

Quiet hours at Mardi Farm are from 11:00 pm until 10:00 a.m.

During quiet hours, guests must avoid loud music, shouting and any other activity that may disturb other guests or nearby residents.

The use of loudspeakers, sound equipment and amplified music outdoors, as well as the organisation of events, must be agreed with Mardi Farm in advance.

4. Smoking and fire safety

All accommodation and indoor areas at Mardi Farm are non-smoking. Smoking, including the use of e-cigarettes and other smoking products, is permitted only in suitable outdoor areas.

Cigarette ends must not be thrown on the ground, into ordinary waste bins or into nature unless they have been fully extinguished.

The use of candles, fireworks or any other open flame indoors is prohibited unless authorised in advance by Mardi Farm.

Barbecues and fires may only be used in designated areas. Fire must never be left unattended, and guests must ensure that flames and embers are fully extinguished after use.

In the event of a fire or other emergency, call the emergency number 112 immediately and inform a representative of Mardi Farm.

5. Pets

Pets are not permitted inside Mardi Farm’s accommodation units or other indoor premises, and they may not stay or sleep indoors.

An exception may be made only if bringing a pet has been agreed in writing with Mardi Farm before the booking, or where an exception is required by law, for example in the case of an assistance dog.

Any pet permitted by prior agreement must remain under the owner’s constant supervision. Pets may not be left alone in the accommodation, allowed on beds or other upholstered furniture, or allowed to disturb other guests.

The pet owner must clean up after the animal and is fully responsible for any damage, additional cleaning or other costs caused by the pet.

6. Cleanliness and waste

Please keep the accommodation and common areas clean and tidy.

Waste must be placed in the designated containers and, where possible, sorted according to the markings on the containers.

Perishable food, dirty dishes and rubbish must not be left in the accommodation. After using the shared kitchen, guests must clean the worktops, cooker and appliances and wash or place used dishes in the dishwasher.

Mardi Farm reserves the right to charge for additional cleaning where the premises require an unusually extensive amount of cleaning.

7. Use of the kitchen and barbecue area

When using the shared kitchen and barbecue area, guests must consider others and leave the area clean and tidy after use.

Guests are responsible for the storage and suitability of their own food. Food and personal belongings belonging to other guests may not be used.

When using the barbecue, all fire-safety requirements must be followed. The barbecue must be placed on a stable, non-combustible surface and kept away from buildings, dry vegetation and other flammable materials.

8. Use of the sauna, pond and sea

Use of the sauna, pond, sea and other bodies of water is at the guest’s own risk.

Before entering or jumping into the water, guests must ensure that the area is safe and the water is sufficiently deep. Jumping into the water in an unfamiliar location is prohibited.

Guests under the influence of alcohol or other intoxicating substances may not use the sauna, swim, jump into the water or operate a watercraft.

Glassware is prohibited in the sauna, sauna lounge, by the pond and in swimming areas.

Children must not be left unattended in or near the sauna, pond, sea or any other body of water.

After using the sauna, guests must leave the premises tidy and follow any instructions displayed on site.

9. Child safety

Mardi Farm is family-friendly, but parents or accompanying adults remain responsible for children’s safety throughout the stay.

Children must not be left unattended near bodies of water, the sauna, barbecue, fire, stairs, play areas, sports equipment or moving vehicles.

When using play equipment and other facilities, guests must take the child’s age, abilities and weather conditions into account.

10. Use of bicycles, boats and other equipment

Bicycles, rowing boats, sports equipment and other rental or shared-use equipment may only be used under the agreed conditions and for their intended purpose.

Before use, guests must inspect the equipment. Any defect or damage must be reported immediately to a representative of Mardi Farm.

Children may use boats, bicycles and other equipment affecting safety only under the supervision of a responsible adult.

A suitable life jacket must be worn when using a boat, and weather and sea conditions must be taken into account. Watercraft may not be operated under the influence of alcohol or narcotic substances.

Equipment must be returned after use to the agreed location and in the same condition, except for normal wear and tear.

11. Parking and movement on the premises

Vehicles must be parked in designated areas so that they do not obstruct other guests, access to buildings or the passage of emergency and service vehicles.

Vehicles must be driven slowly on Mardi Farm’s grounds, with due regard for children, pedestrians and other guests.

Vehicles and personal belongings are parked or stored on the premises at the owner’s own risk.

12. Damage and liability

Guests must use the accommodation, equipment, furniture and other property carefully and responsibly.

Any defect, accident or damage must be reported to a representative of Mardi Farm as soon as possible. Guests may not attempt to repair damage without permission.

The guest is responsible for any damage caused by themselves, their companions, children, visitors or any pet permitted by prior agreement.

Mardi Farm reserves the right to require reimbursement for the repair or replacement of damaged, broken or missing property and for other justified additional costs.

Mardi Farm is not liable for the loss of or damage to money, documents, vehicles or other personal belongings left unattended, except where liability is required by law.

13. Prohibited activities

The following are prohibited on Mardi Farm’s premises and in the accommodation:

  • possession or use of narcotics or other illegal substances;

In the event of a serious or repeated breach of the house rules, Mardi Farm has the right to require that the breach cease immediately and, where necessary, require the guest to leave without a refund for unused accommodation, where this is reasonable in the circumstances and permitted by law.

14. Video surveillance

For the safety of guests, staff and property, and for the prevention and investigation of possible offences, Mardi Farm uses continuous video surveillance on its grounds.
